Key Responsibilities :
1. Engineering plan preparation and production.
2. Perform design tasks, engineering calculations, solve design problems and develop knowledge of general design standards and agency requirements for plan preparation.
3. Coordinate with architect / agency / client for production of design.
4. Maintain updated knowledge of CADD / Civil Software.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following :
- Design layout of grading plans, improvement plans, etc., in compliance with agency standards.
- Contribute to standard details library and facilitate its use within the team.
- Prepare engineering calculations and data input using CADD software.
- Work with team leader to monitor quality of design and check work for completeness and latest changes. Identify design issues and plan clarifications that need to be finalized for completion of tasks.

Design concept is adhered to.

Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and / or ability required.
Education, Experience & Knowledge Any combination of a bachelor’s degree (B. S.) in Civil Engineering or equivalent discipline from a four-year college or university and minimum civil engineering design experience of two years; or equivalent combination of education and experience. EIT certification is required. Must have a working knowledge of engineering principles and standards. Proficiency in AutoCAD, and Civil 3D required.
