What are the responsibilities and job description for the Stella Elementary Charter Academy Literacy Interventionist position at Bright Star Schools?
The Instructional Interventionist works closely with teachers and administrators to plan and execute a comprehensive plan to increase student achievement. The Instructional Interventionist will manage academic programs that support student populations in general education, special education, and those that need additional interventions. They will also streamline schoolwide intervention programs, instructional strategies and analyze data; manages instructional student activities during and after school, in addition to Saturdays and vacation for students that need additional support (in person or through video conferencing); leads professional development with faculty and parents; works in conjunction with Department and Grade Level Leads, and Inclusive Education department. Qualifications:
Valid CA Clear Multiple Subject Credential
Minimum 3 years teaching experience in the classroom
Experience serving students of color and students that qualify for free and reduced lunch (preferred)
Successful data-backed experience teaching grades Kindergarten through Fourth Grade; experience with various grade levels
Successful experience teaching groups of students for intervention (desired)
Management/ Leadership experience (desired)
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Spanish Fluency (preferred)
Experience in differentiated and intervention supports
History of producing dramatic, measurable student achievement gains
