What are the responsibilities and job description for the Preschool Teacher position at Bright Start Early Childhood Center?
Bright Start is known for its great education, excellent staff, and most of all, personal service to all of our children’s parents. A volunteer board of directors, consisting of community members and parents, oversees the school’s operation. Each and every employee assumes a very important role in insuring that children and families feel safe and comfortable here. We serve as a mission of the Mid-Coast Presbyterian Church as well as a service to the Topsham/Brunswick community. You will become an integral part of our center's success.
We are currently hiring for a full time teacher in our 3-4 year old classroom.
Must be 18 years old
Must have a high school diploma
CPR certification is a plus
Pay dependent on experience
Responsibilities:
- Manage a classroom of up to 10 children
- Plan and execute age appropriate crafts and activities
- Provide for children's basic needs for eating, napping, toileting/diapering, hygiene, and dressing.
- Collaborate with other staff in a team approach to provide daily activities and services to our children and families.
- Help maintain classroom equipment, toys and supplies.
- Carry out assignments as delegated from director.
- Complete 30 hours of training per year per licensing regulations.
- Attend scheduled staff meetings once a month.
*This position will start the end of May 2025* Part time hours available prior if applicant desires.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
