What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tutors Needed for Broward County position at Bright Starts Tutoring and Educational Services?
We are an in-home tutoring service and are looking for qualified individuals with great organization skills as well as patience. At this time, we are tutoring children in foster-care who need educational support of year round schooling. The follow are "must haves" Before submitting your application/resume please read ALL important information below.
* Must be 18 year of age or older
* Prior experience in tutoring, mentoring, or teaching students from grade levels K-12 or above.
* A.A. degree or higher in education, mental health, law, or science, from a college or university
* Outstanding organization skills, punctual, excellent communication skills, problem solver, and a great team player.
* Computer knowledge
* Able to commit for at least 6 months or more.
* Must be fluent in English
* Must have reliable transportation
* Flexibility with days and times for tutoring the students
* Ability to meet strict deadlines for required documentation
* Able to attend company orientation/training sessions

The children receive anywhere between 2 to 3 hours of tutoring per week. It is up to you to organize those hours with the caregivers. This way, you may obtain more students.Tutors document every session on an online program.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one tutoring sessions to students in Broward County.
- Develop personalized curriculum based on students' learning needs and goals.
- Utilize learning technology to enhance teaching methods and engage students.
- Plan and implement engaging lessons tailored to individual student needs.
- Communicate regularly with parents, teachers, and school staff to track student progress.
- Utilize organizational and computer skills to track student performance and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 4 – 8 per week
