Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our team. As a Preschool Teacher, you will be responsible for providing a nurturing and educational environment for young children. Your role will involve planning and implementing age-appropriate activities, promoting social and emotional development, and fostering a love for learning.
Duties:
- Create and implement lesson plans that align with the curriculum and promote early childhood development
- Provide a safe and supportive environment for children to learn and grow
- Engage children in educational activities, including literacy education, physical education, and creative play
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and staff members
- Observe and assess children's behavior and progress, making note of any concerns or areas for improvement
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff members to create a cohesive learning environment
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress reports, and other necessary documentation
- Ensure the classroom is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with young children in a daycare or preschool setting
- Knowledge of early childhood development principles and practices
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to manage behavior effectively using positive reinforcement techniques
- Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with children
- Familiarity with special education needs is a plus
- Minimum of 12 ECE semester units
