Your Mission:
We are seeking a dynamic and hands-on Director (M&A) Integration (yes, this role will be a Director!) who thrives in a player/coach role. In this position, you will be deeply involved in the management of M&A processes, leading a small, dedicated team with the potential to grow as the company expands its portfolio. Your expertise will be crucial in guiding and executing the integration of new business acquisitions, ensuring seamless transitions that align with our company's strategic goals. This role requires a balance of high-level leadership and tactical involvement, including rolling up your sleeves during the critical integration phase (you may find yourself in scrubs in a new acquisition during the integration phase). You will oversee all aspects of integration, from due diligence to execution, collaborating closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to drive successful outcomes, along with overseeing a small team is who is doing the same work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Integration Strategy: Develop and execute integration plans for new acquisitions, ensuring alignment with company goals, culture, and operational strategies.
- Project Leadership: Spearhead cross-functional project teams, driving all phases of the integration process, from pre-deal diligence to post-deal execution and optimization.
- Due Diligence: Work closely with the corporate development team to evaluate targets, assess risks, and identify synergies that will create value in the integration process.
- Collaboration: Partner with department heads across all functions (finance, operations, HR, legal, IT, marketing) to ensure seamless transitions and effective collaboration between entities.
- Change Management: Oversee cultural and organizational shifts, ensuring smooth transitions and fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders.
- Performance Metrics & Reporting: Establish clear KPIs for each integration project, ensuring performance targets are met, and provide regular updates to executive leadership on progress and outcomes.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement best practices for future integrations, helping shape the M&A integration strategy for long-term success.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience: 7 years in M&A integration, project management, or a related field, with a proven track record of leading large-scale integrations and driving business growth (multisite healthcare experience a plus).
- Leadership: Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage diverse teams, influence stakeholders at all levels, and maintain momentum throughout the integration process.
- Strategic Thinking: Exceptional ability to see the big picture while managing the finer details, ensuring integration strategies are tailored to organizational goals.
- Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Data-driven decision-maker with a strong understanding of financial analysis, risk management, and performance metrics.
- Communication & Negotiation: Excellent communicator with the ability to clearly articulate goals, challenges, and strategies across all levels of the organization.
- Adaptability: Ability to thrive in fast-changing environments and manage multiple high-priority projects simultaneously.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred).
