Job Title: Senior BI Analyst
Job Location: San Antonio, TX.(onsite)
Job Type: Contract
Responsibilities:
- Develop new reports in Tableau, integrating with various data sources.
- Use SQL to connect to and retrieve data from multiple sources.
- Transition existing reports from Business Objects to Tableau.
- Maintain and update existing reports in both Business Objects and Tableau.
- Manage and update UDAs (User Developed Applications) created with Excel VBA macros and Tableau.
- Retire or re-platform outdated UDAs with modern solutions.
- Present reports and insights to non-technical audiences effectively.
- Create new UDAs using Tableau or Excel VBA macros for quick solutions, with plans to eventually replace them with fully developed IT solutions.
- Utilize Python for data analysis, connections, visualization, and file management.
Required Skills/Technologies:
- Proficiency in Tableau for reporting and visualization.
- Strong knowledge of Python for data preparation, analysis, connections, and visualization, with experience managing files and folders.
- Essential Python Libraries: Pandas, Numpy, Pyodbc, Matplotlib, Os, Pathlib, and other common libraries (math, datetime, json, collections, etc.)
- Preferred Libraries: SciPy, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, NLTK, TextBlob
- Advanced Excel skills, particularly for data preparation (UDA assets).
- SQL for data retrieval and management (non-UDA assets).
- Strong presentation skills for delivering insights to non-technical audiences.
- Effective requirement gathering and documentation abilities.
