How BrightBee Works: You’ll be an essential part of our dynamic workforce as an independent contractor, ready to respond and commute to on-site work opportunities at nearby K-12 schools and nonprofits via the BrightBee app. You’ll be able to pick which work assignments match your experience, preferences, and schedule and will never have to take on an assignment that you don’t feel is a fit for you.
What You’ll Do
- Performs office duties with a minimum of direction.
- Performs varied administrative and confidential duties as directed.
- Exhibits tact and diplomacy in contacts with the community, the district, and outside agencies.
- Maintains control over incoming and outgoing correspondence; composes correspondence on a variety of assigned subjects; reviews and proofreads correspondence prepared for the office.
- Sorts mail delivered to the office and routes it to the proper divisions.
- Enters and maintains data in a computer database.
- Receives phone calls and visitors to the office, schedules appointments and interviews.
- Compiles, creates, and types reports, special studies, complex worksheets, and statistical reports and tables.
- Performs other job related duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Physical requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related
- experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must be proficient in technical skills such as typing, filing and dictation.
- Must be proficient on the computer.
- Experience with word processing and spreadsheets-preferred.
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills.
- Must have excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively to customers, clients, or employees of organization.
- Knowledge of budgets and ability to monitor budget processes.
- Ability to be flexible, self-directed, and motivated.
- Ability to work well in a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural environment with staff and students.
- Ability to do job responsibilities with minimal supervision and ability to schedule time to meet deadlines.
- Original certificates of clearance from the State Police, Child Abuse Registry, and PDE FBI.

- Reliable transportation and ability to commute to public and charter schools within the applicant region, required.

- Prior to working with students, you will need to pass a background check, livescan and may need to obtain other necessary testing/clearances. Rest assured, we will guide you through the process!
