Direct Support Professional (DSP) – $15-$20/hr $1,000 Signing Bonus

We are currently hiring Direct Support Professionals to work in our homes in Henrico, Chesterfield, and our community-based services.

Pay Scale Based on Experience & Certifications:
- $15/hr – No proven experience or certifications.
- $16/hr – At least 6 months of documented experience.
- $16.50/hr – One valid certification (TOVA, Medication Administration, or First Aid/CPR).
- $17/hr – Two valid certifications (TOVA, Medication Administration, or First Aid/CPR).
- $18/hr – All three certifications (TOVA, Medication Administration, and First Aid/CPR).
- $20/hr – One-to-one support role with documented proof of all three certifications.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist with personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
- Provide medication administration (if certified).
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding if necessary.
- Light housekeeping and organization.
- Provide companionship and emotional support.
- Assist with errands and community outings.
- Work collaboratively with team members, clients, and families.
- Manage and redirect aggressive behaviors using approved behavioral intervention techniques.
- Uphold the Brighter Day Way—ensuring quality care and a positive environment.
- Follow all health, safety, and human rights guidelines.
Requirements:

- Must be comfortable working with clients who may exhibit aggressive behaviors.
- Must be able to work well with others and contribute to a positive team environment.
- Experience preferred but not required.
- Valid driver’s license & reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift, transfer, and assist with mobility.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- TOVA certification preferred (training available for the right candidates).
