Job Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and highly organized Wellness Manager to join our team. As the Wellness Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our wellness department, ensuring the highest level of customer service and satisfaction. This is a full-time position that requires strong leadership skills and a passion for promoting health and wellness. Basic knowledge of nutrition, wellness, supplements, herbs and skincare preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise the wellness department staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling
- Help customers make informed decisions on wellness products (supplements, botanicals, teas, skin care etc.)
- Purchase inventory for wellness department and make educated decisions on new products
- Develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue and meet targets
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure proper stock management
- Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities for growth
- Provide administrative support, including maintaining records and preparing reports
- Foster a positive team environment and encourage collaboration among staff members
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless operations
- Oversee shift management to ensure adequate coverage at all times
- Conduct interviews and assist in the selection process for new hires
Requirements:
- Proven experience in sales management, preferably in the wellness industry
- Strong organizational and inventory control skills
- Excellent market knowledge and ability to identify customer needs
- Proficient in administrative tasks, including record keeping and report preparation
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage a team
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed
- Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on building relationships
- Strong interviewing skills to identify top talent
- Previous experience as a wellness clerk, health food store employee or in a similar role is preferred
