What are the responsibilities and job description for the Community Mental Health Support Worker position at Brighter Heights Maine, LLC?
This position offers 12- 30 hours, depending on the number of clients in the area. We have openings in Topsham, Brunswick and Bath.
Pay is $19-20/hr. depending on certification
Community Mental Health staff work in our clients’ homes and the community in our Daily Living Skills Program. They build relationships and trust with their adult clients living with persistent mental health challenges. They assist clients in identifying their goals and interests and support them in actively making progress on their goals. They act as a role model, assist with teaching skills to support and inspire clients to be as independent as possible. They also provide crisis support when necessary.
Requirements
- Education: High School diploma or GED
- Certification: MHRT- 1 highly preferred Staff must be committed to earning their Mental Health Rehabilitation Technician-1 within one year of their date of hire. Staff must complete CPR and First Aid certification.
- Experience: One year of experience working with adults in a supervised setting or relevant life experience.
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
