What are the responsibilities and job description for the Direct Support Professional position at Brighter Heights Maine, LLC?
- Brighter Heights Maine is looking for engaging and patient DSPs to work in our 3 resident Winthrop home. Full benefits are available for those working full time hours.
Pay: $16-$18/hr.
Shifts/Hours:
position one hours: Thursday and Friday 4p-10p, Saturday and Sunday 8a-4p for a total of 32 hours
position two hours:
DSP Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or GED
Experience:
- One year of experience with adults in a supervised setting
- Must have strong Communication and computer skills
- Must have up to date state mandated immunizations
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
Licensure:
An existing DSP Certificate is desired and a Certified Residential Medication Aide Certificate( CRMA) is highly preferred. If needed, we will provide CRMA training at no cost to you.
DSP Responsibilities:
- work with our clients, their families and other service providers to promote independence
- help them develop daily living skills, provide direct care and administer medication if you have your CRMA.
- assist with housekeeping, personal hygiene, transportation, meal prep, grocery shopping,
- take clients into the community for outings.
- always maintain respect for our clients and treat them with dignity
