Program Overview
Brighter Path Montgomery is an intensive residential treatment facility providing an array of gender specific, evidenced based and trauma informed services for females, ages 12-18, with serious and/or chronic emotional and/or behavioral management problems that interfere with the child’s ability to function in the family, school and/or community setting outside of a residential environment.
The Nurse Coordinator plans, directs and evaluates nursing services, coordinates nursing services with other departments to effectively and adequately meet the needs of residents, and staff, plans and provides for on-site continuing education for all staff members, participates in departmental meetings, attends and participates committee activities, review and revises policies and procedures as necessary and performs other duties as related to the nursing department. The Nurse Coordinator must have and maintain the ability to direct and instruct employees in duties, techniques and principles, and must be able to maintain good working relationships with other departments. The Nurse Coordinator is also responsible for the hiring, training, and development of the nursing staff. This includes the development of a structured, safe and positive therapeutic milieu.
