What are the responsibilities and job description for the Day Program Instructor-Special needs position at Brighter Paths, LLC?

Shift: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm

  • Experience with Day Program for adults with developmental disabilities (special needs adults).
  • Experienced working in a GROUP setting and providing instructional activities while being enthusiastic.
  • Be creative and enjoy doing arts and crafts. Be energetic!
  • Enjoy teaching adults with intellectual impairments.
  • Experience with all types of individuals with a developmental disability, low, high, and behaviors.
  • Computer illiterate and be able to type your progress notes in Therap documentation system.
  • Able to LEADER in a group setting.
  • Organizational skills.
  • Time management skills.
  • Able to multitask and give instructions at the same time.
  • Able to provide assistance with grooming and toileting if needed.
  • Must be able to pass background check.
  • Must have a GED or high school diploma. Associate or Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Current CPR/First Aid, TB test, and Physical
  • Dependable and Reliable staff ready to work with transportation.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $11.50 - $14.50 per hour

Education:

  • Associate (Required)

Experience:
