Job Description
The Principal DevOps Engineer will be responsible for our entire staging and production infrastructure which handles 200,000 daily users. You will migrate our on-premises environment to AWS, building staging environments, implementing a CI/CD pipeline, and take responsibility for application observability and reliability. You will lead the design and deployment of our cloud infrastructure to support evolving business needs.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in DevOps, cloud migration, and automation. You will work closely with development and product teams to build systems that scale effectively.
Responsibilities
- Migrate our environment from on-premises to AWS.
- Build and manage staging environments.
- Design and implement a CI/CD pipeline.
- Monitor system performance and manage application reliability.
- Work with development and product teams to align infrastructure with business needs.
- Use observability tools to analyze performance and detect issues.
- Document system configurations, processes, and service records.
- Continuously improve infrastructure security and performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 8 years experience in DevOps.
- Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure management.
- Experience in designing and managing CI/CD pipelines.
- Proficiency with system monitoring and observability tools.
- Solid skills in automation and configuration management.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Based in or willing to relocate to Austin, Texas.
