BrightKey is looking to hire a Warehouse Clerk  to grow their team in Odenton, MD.  The ideal candidate will have experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment and a strong commitment to safety and productivity.  If you are interested in a place where you can grow and make a difference, BrightKey is a great place for you!

The Warehouse Clerk is responsible for ensuring the efficient and accurate handling of products within the warehouse. This role involves pick / pack operations, palletizing goods for shipment, operating various warehouse equipment, and maintaining inventory accuracy.

What experience is required for this position?

  • Proven experience as a Warehouse Clerk or similar role
  • Must have experience with forklift operation
  • Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs.

Key Information :

  • Pay : $19.00 - $21.00 per hour

    • Key Responsibilities for the Warehouse Clerk :

  • Pick / Pack Operations :

    • Accurately pick items from inventory based on customer orders.

  • Pack products securely to prevent damage during shipping.
  • Label packages with shipping information and ensure proper documentation.
  • Palletizing Goods :

    • Organize and stack products on pallets for shipment.

  • Ensure pallets are stable, secure, and meet shipping standards.
  • Equipment Operation :

    • Safely operate pallet jacks, forklifts, scissor lifts, and cherry pickers.

  • Perform regular equipment checks and report any maintenance needs.
  • Inventory Management :

    • Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.

  • Maintain accurate records of inventory movements and transactions.
  • Assist in managing stock levels and reordering supplies as needed.
  • General Warehouse Duties :

    • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.

  • Follow all safety protocols and company policies.
  • Assist with receiving and unloading incoming shipments.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals.

    • Qualifications for the Warehouse Clerk Role :

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a Warehouse Associate or similar role.
  • Must have experience with forklift operation
  • Proficiency in operating warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, scissor lifts, and cherry pickers.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to [specific weight]).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Basic computer skills for inventory management systems.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

    • Physical Requirements :

  • Ability to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods.
  • Capacity to perform physical tasks that require repetitive motions.
  • Able to lift up to 70 pounds.
