General Duties and Responsibilities :
Assist the Estimating Team with preparing estimates
Assist in compiling and maintaining accurate information for takeoffs
Research variances
Recommend action to the Estimating Manager to eliminate repeat errors
Gather and maintain data for new and existing projects/communities
Process takeoff changes for assigned cost codes
Develop experience in takeoff methods and procedures for assigned cost codes through hands-on training
Develop knowledge in performing takeoffs in PlanSwift through established training programs
Assist in establishing budgets and budget reports
Conduct weekly EPO research for assigned cost codes
Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Word
Detail oriented
Accurate in calculations
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
Dedicated team player able to multitask and see projects through to completion
Strong time management skills
Able to develop and maintain positive and cooperative working relationships
Exemplary record of attendance and punctuality
Able to adapt readily to a rapidly changing, fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications :
One or more years of general construction experience
Experience working in a purchasing/estimating department with a production home builder
Experience with JDE Homebuilding modules
Degree or license in a construction-related field
