Brightland Homes, LTD. is currently seeking an Insurance Analyst for its Corporate Division to oversee insurance and insurance policies for the finance department.

Position Purpose:
Support finance and purchasing groups, primarily in daily insurance administration, ongoing risk assessment of current exposure & policies, annual renewals, and audits to ensure risk mitigation without interruption to operations. This position does not include employee benefits such as medical insurance.
General Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide standard Certificates of Insurance (COIs) and submit requests for non-standard COIs
- Oversee corporate and division vendor COI compliance
- Review and ensure compliance with insurance requirements in land contracts
- Submit timely notices of potential claims to all necessary parties
- Obtain and distribute monthly run loss reports
- Perform various exposure and premium audits as policies expire/renew
- Lead annual renewals of general liability, excess liability, builder's risk, property, workers comp, etc.
- Analyse existing insurance policies and make recommendations for revisions and creation of policies, as necessary
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Intermediate knowledge of and proficiency in Microsoft Office products
- Proven record of providing excellent customer service to intern and external customers
- Accurate and timely in the completion of work
- Attentive to detail
- Positive attitude
- Strong time management skills
- Highly organized
- Accurate in computations
- Able to develop and maintain positive and cooperative working relationships
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the homebuilding industry, especially in the areas of Finance/Accounting or Purchasing
- Commercial insurance experience
- Experience with EBIX or similar COI tracking software
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Insurance
