As the Onboard Supervisor, you will be one of the key leaders in executing the hospitality-related operations onboard all Brightline Florida trains and within our stations. With a focus on safety and security, operational excellence, financial performance, and guest and team satisfaction, you will lead the day-to-day hospitality operations on our trains. You will develop and guide the onboard teammates with the optimism and positive energy that makes Brightline the travel leader wherever we operate.
Your Role:
- Inspire and Lead: Foster a guest-first culture by aligning teammates with Brightline’s vision, mission, and values. Lead by example to create an engaged and high-performing team.
- Operational Excellence: Oversee all aspects of guest-facing hospitality-related train operations, including food and beverage, retail, baggage handling, and cleanliness of the interior of our trains. Ensure the trains remain in top condition, with requests for preventative maintenance and timely repairs to our Railway Operations partners. Ensure strict adherence to all SOPs, policies, and procedures.
- Team Leadership: Mentor, develop, and inspire teammates to achieve their full potential. Lead daily briefings, conduct on-the-job training, motivate Teammates to achieve the agreed-upon goals and continuously reinforce Brightline’s culture and values. Supervise assigned team; assign work; monitor work hours and verify timesheet; oversee quality and timelessness of work performed; monitor team readiness; prepare and conduct performance reviews; participate in interviewing and selecting teammates; administer corrective actions per internal policies.
- Guest Satisfaction: Champion a culture of service excellence by continuously monitoring guest feedback, analyzing satisfaction metrics, and implementing initiatives and action plans to exceed expectations and enhance loyalty.
- Guest Recovery: Address and resolve guest complaints promptly and effectively, ensuring a positive recovery experience. Proactively prevent escalations and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Financial Stewardship: Lead the team in implementing onboard revenue improvement initiatives, control costs, and regularly monitor financial performance metrics.
- Safety and Security: Maintain the highest standards of safety and security for guests and teammates. Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and regulatory standards, and serve as a vigilant steward of Brightline’s commitment to a safe operating environment.
- Food and Beverage Operations: Supervise the train's food and beverage program, ensuring seamless service, quality control, and profitability.
- Collaboration:
- Partner with Rail Operations, contractors, and vendors to optimize trains’ performance.
- Ensure a seamless guest and teammate experience through cross-functional collaboration.
- Communication: Monitor and review all Brightline communication channels, including our company intranet, BConnected, during work hours to ensure all company and department communications and notifications are promptly assimilated and acted upon when necessary.

You:
- Minimum of 1 year of supervising experience in a fast-paced, multi-functional hospitality or service environment.
- Experience in guest management, food and beverage operations, and process optimization.
- Familiarity with monitoring and maintaining policies, resolving conflicts, and improving operational performance.
Skills and Abilities
- Strong leadership and delegation skills with the ability to motivate cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication (fluent English is a must) and interpersonal skills for engaging with guests, teammates, and stakeholders.
· Professional, neat, and well-groomed appearance adhering to Brightline standards.
· Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
· Ability to deal effectively with guests, management, teammates, and outside contacts while working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
· Detailed-oriented, with the ability to be adaptable to a variety of situations.
· Demonstrated ability to plan, schedule, organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks.
· Demonstrated analysis and problem-resolution skills.
· Ability to lift large bags and packages and move large carts within the train.
- Adaptability to 24/7 operational demands, including weekends and holidays.
- Knowledge of key health regulations (i.e.: prevention of foodborne illnesses) and basic safety standards.
Pay Rate - $24.00 an hour
