Job Summary:
Environmental Services Technician (Housekeeper) is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients, visitors, and team members.
Some Duties and Responsibilities include:
Keep the inpatient hospice facility clean, in good repair, environmentally safe, and odor-free. Work
Work with team members of the Brightmoor hospice team to maintain our high services standards.
Maintain the appearance and sanitation of all areas including waiting areas, staff area, offices, staff and public restrooms, patient rooms, patient bathrooms, patient patio areas, nursing units, admin offices, floors, windows, and walls.
Maintain a clean and sanitized floor, windows, walls and all patient room surfaces in all offices and rooms of the building.
Performs facilities duties including but not limited to dusting, mopping, laundry, vacuuming and shampooing carpets, cleaning and restocking restrooms.
A daily cleaning report to track the rooms cleaned.
Check to ensure that all trash is removed from all areas, floors are cleaned and free of debris, all toiletries are stocked, and bathrooms are sanitized.
Responsible for use of various cleaning chemicals
Ensure proper infection-control policies are being followed.
Each day wipe down the counters and clean any dishes left in the sink. Wipe down the walls and clean any splash marks. Wipe down all the surfaces inside and outside the refrigerator. Mop the kitchen floor daily.
Other duties as assigned.
