What are the responsibilities and job description for the Worship Arts Pastor position at Brighton Assembly of God?
Worship Arts
o Create an effective Worship Arts Ministry at Brighton Assembly of God
Lead Worship Arts Ministry
Work with and assess existing team members
Add/recruit vocalists and instrumentalists
Mentor Worship Arts team members (weekly or monthly basis with direct personal interaction)
-elect songs that support service themes (Sunday amp;amp; Wednesday)
Introduce new songs to team members and congregation
Conduct practices (weekly)
Produce team schedules bimonthly via Planning Center
Oversee technology (computers, projector, sound, lighting amp;amp; livestream)
Assess this area of ministry
Work with existing members to gain understanding of technology components in sanctuary
Work in partnership with the livestream team
Train and equip team members to assist Worship Arts ministry as components are modified
Add members to this team as demands increase
Produce team schedules bimonthly via Planning Center
-erve as troubleshooting liaison for office technology issues (phone s, computers amp;amp; printers)
Fulfill leadership team functions
Attend weekly staff prayer amp;amp; meeting
- hare staff devotions upon request
Oversee outside "entertainment" scheduling for REZ Night (Good Friday) annually in the form of Christian comedians, improv groups, etc.
Develop service formats for seasonal productions/events. This would include possible drama, dance, video, etc.
Create a personal growth plan (options below)
Chart out a 3 year plan that will include goals related to the field of Worship Arts / ministry in general and personal life
Identify goals in both categories above, complete with target dates (3 year approach)
Include podcasts, conferences, seminars, academic coursework, vacation time, etc... that will contribute to personal growth and Worship Arts
Mentor individuals
-elect (in time) adults / students to mentor in partnership with Young Adult Coordinators, Student Ministries Pastor amp;amp; Children's Pastor
Determine format and objectives
Follow Brighton AG protocol regarding mentoring process
Present finalized plan to Pastor Trask prior to implementation
Dream annually
Plan events that will create community and contribute to growth in the Worship Arts team
Focus on seasonal events ...can be outreach, community, etc... in emphasis
Present proposal to Rhonda Trask, complete with goals, timeline and associated costs
Recruit people and resources
