The Director of Early Childhood Intervention (ECI) Services is responsible for the overall leadership and management of Brighton's ECI program. The Director will be a strong leader that values team work, high quality services and is well skilled in requiring high levels of performance while relating to the individuals that are within the program. Director will work collaboratively with the various divisions within the Brighton organization (finance, HR, quality control) to be effective in the management of the ECI Program. In addition, the Director of Brighton's ECI program will work closely with other program directors (preschool, special education support services and the the therapy clinic) to ensure that resources are shared when necessary and that families are referred to and from all program in a consistent and efficient manner. As the largest program offered by Brighton Center, the Directo of ECI will play a critical role in all strategic initiatives for the organization and serve as a senior leader of the organization.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

This position requires face to face interactions with staff, families, board, funders, state agencies, and the general public on a daily basis to accomplish all essential functions of the position.

  • PROGRAM OVERSITE (30%) Oversees all aspects of program operations, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery. This includes managing staff, including ECI Team Managers, through hiring, training, professional development, and performance evaluation. The Director fosters a collaborative team environment, promoting effective communication and supporting staff growth. Data-driven decision-making is central, with the Director overseeing data collection, analysis, and reporting on program outcomes to assess program effectiveness, individual staff performance, and maximize program impact. This involves monthly reporting to leadership, funders and stakeholders, including compliance and activity reports. Provides strategic leadership, driving program development, evaluation, and expansion while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations with HHS/ECI and standards. Builds and maintains strong relationships with community partners and funders to ensure program stability and maximize community impact. Ensures all ECI staff understand and implement Brighton Center's core values, program standards and have the necessary training and support to excel in their roles. Participating in public policy discussions and advocacy that impact the program. This includes keeping up on bill and legislative trends, monitoring bills, educating the Leadership Team on trends that may impact the program and providing written or verbal testimony at the local or state level as necessary to protect the interests of the program. The Director of ECI will have a collaborative partnership with Inclusion Director to host and facilitate Brighton's Annual Inclusion Conferences. The ECI Director will work in partnership with the Quality Control Division, to create and maintain an ECI Leadership procedure manual staff development, policies, continuing education, services quality and surveys.
  • STAFF MANAGEMENT & DEVELOPMENT (25%) Directly supervise ECI Team Managers, fostering their professional growth through development plans, succession planning, and ongoing support. Ensure staff accountability, compliance with program standards, and provide coaching and counseling to enhance their leadership effectiveness. Empower team managers to effectively lead their teams of providers, aligning their work with the Brighton ECI Program's "Standards", which are crucial for both the program's financial sustainability and its positive impact on children and families.
  • FINANCIAL OVERSIGHT (20%) Ensure financial and program performance meets all required standards, maintains compliance, achieves outcomes and goals, and ensures programmatic excellence. Assist the CIO in the annual budgeting process, including development, evaluation, and maintenance of the budget. Conduct monthly reviews of financials and activity reports to ensure financial integrity and achieve budget revenue goals. Develop and implement contingency plans to ensure the continued delivery of quality programming and achieve financial results.
  • LEADERSHIP (10%) Cross-departmental collaboration, actively participate in the Brighton Leadership Team and Impact Ops team meetings. Work collaboratively to integrate cross-departmental activities and functions. Oversee the entire employment cycle for ECI, including supervision, hiring, onboarding, payroll, and performance management.
  • PROGRAM GROWTH (10%) Collaborates with the Communications and Business Development Division to develop an annual marketing plan. Oversees, develops, and assists in the implementation of ECI-related marketing efforts. This includes coordinating program marketing with Marketing Manager to ensure that inquiry and referral rates are met, family retention is maintained, and the community perceives Brighton's ECI program positively. Actively seeks community collaborations to enhance the delivery of comprehensive developmental services to children with disabilities and delays.
  • OTHER FUNCTIONS (5%) Other duties to support the delivery and quality of services that are provided to Brighton families and leadership team.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Required: Bachelor's degree (B.S. or B.A.) in Education, Social Services, Business, or a related field. Relevant leadership experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Adobe products. Data analysis experience.
  • Preferred: Master's degree (M.A.) in Education, Social Services, a Pediatric Therapy Discipline or a related field. 5 years of experience at the Director level, with a strong preference for experience in early childhood intervention programs, home health or pediatric therapy setting.
