The Director of Data & Analytics will be responsible for building and leading a high-impact data team to drive data awareness, adoption, and data informed decision-making across the organization. This leader will play a critical role in contributing to the data and analytics vision, developing a roadmap to enhance tracking, reporting, and analytics, and ensuring that data is leveraged effectively to drive business outcomes.


The ideal candidate will bring a blend of technical expertise, strategic vision, and business acumen to develop scalable data solutions, empower teams with actionable insights, and foster a culture of data-informed decision-making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities - Building & Leading the Data & Analytics Team
  • Recruit, develop, and mentor a high-performing data team, ensuring the right mix of skills to support data strategy, analytics, and reporting.
  • Establish team objectives, OKRs, and success metrics to measure impact on business performance and customer outcomes.
  • Create a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning within the team.


Key Responsibilities - Driving Data Awareness and Adoption
  • Develop and execute strategies to increase awareness and adoption of data-driven decision-making across all levels of the organization.
  • Partner with business leaders, including Client Services, Revenue Operations, and Technology teams, to embed data into daily workflows and strategic initiatives.
  • Provide education and enablement programs to enhance data literacy among stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities - Data & Analytics Roadmap and Strategy
  • Define and execute a strategic roadmap for data & analytics, aligning with business objectives to improve client experience and internal advisor efficiency.
  • Identify and prioritize data initiatives that will drive measurable impact, ensuring alignment with corporate goals.
  • Develop a long-term vision for scalable data architecture, governance, infrastructure, and use of AI in collaboration with technology partners.


Key Responsibilities - Dashboard Development and Self-Service Analytics
  • Oversee the design and implementation of user-friendly dashboards and reporting tools that provide actionable insights for business teams.
  • Drive self-service analytics adoption by equipping teams with intuitive data tools and training.
  • Ensure data visualization best practices are followed to enhance usability and impact.


Key Responsibilities - Enhancing Client and Internal Advisor Insights with Data
  • Leverage data to optimize the client journey, identifying pain points and opportunities for process or experience improvement.
  • Support internal advisors with data-driven insights to improve client interactions, service quality, and operational efficiency.
  • Monitor and measure key performance indicators (KPIs) to track improvements in customer satisfaction and advisor effectiveness.


Key Responsibilities - Governance, Compliance, and Data Quality
  • Establish and enforce data governance policies to ensure accuracy, security, and compliance with industry regulations.
  • Develop scalable processes for data integrity, standardization, and consistency across all business units.
  • Collaborate with IT and security teams to ensure robust data privacy and security measures are in place.


Qualifications:
  • 10 years of experience in data & analytics, business intelligence, or data strategy, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience in building and scaling a data function within a mid-to-large enterprise.
  • Strong expertise in data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and analytics platforms.
  • Experience with data governance, data management, and data architecture best practices.
  • Deep understanding of how data can drive improvements in customer experience and internal business operations.
  • Ability to communicate complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building skills with a focus on professional development and mentorship.
  • Familiarity with CRM (Salesforce), cloud-based data platforms, and SQL.


Compensation:
  • Pay: $190,000 - $220,000 per year

What to Expect in the Hiring Process


1. Values in Action Self-Assessment - At Brighton Jones we don’t just talk about our values, we live by them! We’ve operationalized our values into observable behaviors and part of the application process includes completing a brief self-assessment on our Values in Action. 


2. Initial Interview - This 30-min chat with a recruiter or hiring manager gives us a chance to learn about your background and goals and share more about the role and company. 


3. Role Alignment - Next you’ll meet with the hiring manager and a peer (virtual or in-person) to dive deeper into the role, responsibilities, and your transferrable experiences. 


4. Full Loop - You’ll meet the team in two, back-to-back interviews with team members you’re likely to work with. During these conversations, we’ll be listening to examples of your technical skills as well as how core values show up in your experience. There may also be a writing sample, role play, hiring, or technical assessment depending on the position. 


5. Personal Reference Calls - In this final step in the hiring process, you will be asked to arrange 1-2 personal reference calls with past managers of our choosing.
