What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Coordinator position at Brighton NC Machine Corporation?
The ideal candidate will be proficient in quality and/or internal audit processes, including process/production control methods (i.e. • APQP, PPAP, incoming inspection, etc.)
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Once basic instruction has been completed, the Quality Coordinator performs typical quality operations to support company goals.
- Customer PPAP submissions
- Support in capability and Gage R&R studies.
- Maintain new customer program PPAP status.
- Attending weekly APQP (V-Step) meeting, provide feedback as needed.
- Perform IATF Internal Audits with the team as needed.
- Weekly reviews of PPAP(s) status with quality manager.
- Report supplier & customer PPAP status updates.
- Establish supplier and customer breakpoints and update to latest information.
- Build/Updates core documents (Process Flow, PFMEA)
- Completes layered process audits.
- Completes corrective actions when needed.
- General understanding of problem Solving and analytical
- General understanding Quality Systems, internal and external
- Experience using measurement equipment and testing devices.
- Knowledge of Basic GD&T.
- Track revisions and maintain the quality department document control database.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
- High School graduate or equivalent training, college is a plus.
- High level of analytical ability where problems are complex.
- Knowledge of AIAG Core Tools, IATF 16949 Auditing, windows computer systems (Microsoft office products) and customer specific requirement monitoring.
- Oral and written communication skills and a high level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others.
- 2 years’ experience in quality/manufacturing systems.

Education High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED). Experience Basic Work skills applicable within a CNC Machine Shop environment.
