What are the responsibilities and job description for the Program Director LTSR position at Brighton Rehabilitation & Wellness Center?
The primary objective of the LTSR/Adult PHP is to provide its residents/consumers with the individualized services required to maintain them safely and productively in a community-based setting. The goal of the program is to ensure that the residents/consumers have acquired, upon discharge, the necessary skills for independent living.
Plan, organize and/or coordinate the activities of the LTSR/Adult PHP program. Oversee program operations, budget, policies and procedures regarding resident involvement, program requirements, staffing, and regulatory compliance. Direct and supervise the activities of the LTSR/Adult PHP Staff.
Duties include:
1. Act as liaison to Brighton Rehabilitation & Wellness Center staff and other community programs regarding the interpretation of LTSR/Adult PHP regulation procedures and policies.
2. Maintain communication between Administration, Medical Staff, and Department Heads through attendance at board meetings, management meetings and coordinating interdepartmental collaboration.
3. Research and analyze consumer and community needs in order to determine program directions and goals.
4. Analyze proposed legislation, regulations, or rule changes in order to determine how agency services could be impacted.
5. Direct or conduct recruitment, hiring and training of personnel
6. Orient new employees
7. Establish and oversee administrative procedures to meet objectives set by the Boards of Directors and Senior Management.
8. Prepare activity reports to inform management of the status and implementation of programs, services, and quality initiatives.
9. Develop instructional materials and conduct in-service and community-based educational programs.
10. Participate in the determination of organizational policies
11. Plan, Develop and administer budgets for operations, equipment and support services.
12. Direct activities of professional and technical staff members and volunteers.
13. Assign work to staff or employees
14. Establish and maintain relationships with other agencies and organizations in community
15. Implement and evaluate staff training programs.
16. Prepare and maintain records and reports, such as budgets, personnel records, or training manuals.
17. Evaluate the work of staff and volunteers in order to ensure that programs are of appropriate quality and that resources are used effectively.

The following knowledge/skills are required:
Knowledge of the principles and processes required for providing consumer and personal services. This includes consumer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of consumer satisfaction.
Knowledge of the principles, methods, and procedures for diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of physical and mental disorders
Knowledge of human behavior; individual differences in ability, personality, and interest; learning and motivation; and the assessment and treatment of behavioral and affective disorders.
Although not required for the position, the following knowledge/skills are preferred:
Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique and coordination of people and resources.
Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups and the measurement of training effects.
Knowledge of the principles and procedures for personnel recruitment includes selection, training, compensation and benefits, labor relations and negotiation, and personnel information systems.
