Ticket Checkers are responsible for greeting mountain guests, acting as a source of information, and resolving gate access issues. This position will spend their full shift outdoors on the mountain or in the base area. Flexibility, excellent guest service skills, and strong verbal communication are the key attributes we are looking for in our Tickets Checkers.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for meeting, greeting and assisting guests as they arrive at the base of our ski lifts.
- Knowledge of Brighton products, services, mountain terrain, and events to be able to clearly communicate and direct guests.
- Must be familiar with daily snow and grooming report.
- Answer guest questions and resolve ticketing issues with the help of Guest Services.
- Ticket Checkers will rotate between lifts during scheduled shifts, and we have both day and night opportunities available.
- Must be comfortable working outdoors in inclement weather for extended periods of time.
- Monitor ticket access from a tablet as skiers and riders are going through gates.
- The goal of this position is to reduce the misuse of Brighton ticket products.
- Communicate well with other resort departments such as Lift Operations and Guest Services
- Ability to stay focused and enjoy troubleshooting in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience in a customer facing role is preferred. Skilled at problem resolution and de-escalation.
- Able to work well as a team and individually.
- Must be at least 18 years old
