Shipping/Receiving Clerk

Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Shipping/Receiving Clerk to join our team at Enerfab Process Solutions. This role is critical in ensuring the efficient and accurate handling of incoming and outgoing materials. The ideal candidate will have strong multitasking abilities, excellent attention to detail, and previous experience with inventory management in a manufacturing or fabrication setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Shipping and Receiving: Receive, inspect, and document incoming shipments of materials and supplies. Prepare and package outgoing shipments to ensure they meet company and customer specifications.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of inventory levels. Monitor stock to ensure adequate supply of materials for production and notify management of shortages.
- Material Handling: Safely load and unload materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment as needed. Ensure materials are organized and stored properly.
- Documentation: Accurately complete shipping and receiving paperwork, including bills of lading, packing slips, and purchase orders. Record material movements in inventory management software.
- Quality Control: Inspect incoming materials for quality and conformance to specifications. Report any damage or discrepancies immediately.
- Coordination: Communicate with vendors, delivery drivers, and internal teams to ensure efficient and accurate delivery of materials.
- Multitasking: Balance multiple tasks and prioritize work to meet shipping/receiving deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- Workplace Safety: Follow all safety protocols, ensuring a safe and organized work environment.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years experience in shipping/receiving, inventory management, or a related role in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to accurately process orders, inspect materials, and maintain clear documentation.
- Multitasking Skills: Capable of managing multiple tasks and prioritizing work to meet deadlines.
- Inventory Management: Experience with inventory tracking systems or ERP software preferred.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand for extended periods, and operate forklifts or material handling equipment.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to coordinate with internal teams and external vendors.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve shipping/receiving issues efficiently.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a steel fabrication or manufacturing environment.
- Forklift certification.
- Familiarity with steel materials and parts.
