Job Description
Position Summary: Oversees hiring, staffing, scheduling, training/development, employee relations, tools & resource of the Biomed Dept. Oversees work of technician(s). Works closely with leadership on updates, and budgetary feedback, and input of the dept. Works closely with external vendors and manages dept contracts.
Provides and documents, preventive, predictive, metered, interval-based and corrective maintenance on biomedical equipment. Performs scheduled and unscheduled inspections, maintenance and electrical safety tests of biomedical equipment to maintain code compliance. Responsible for documenting the results of all inspections, maintenance and tests. Will interact with inspectors/surveyors on regulatory compliance activities as needed.
Requirements:
- 2-year or 4-year college or technical school; electronics, biomedical technician, military background or healthcare-related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience, preferred.
- Certifications are a plus but not required
- 2 -3 years' experience in a healthcare clinical engineering environment required
- 1-2 years' experience supervisory experience over other Techs required
- Former experience with Steris autoclaves & washer products is preferred
- Must successfully pass criminal background check.
- Must complete and/or take drug screen, and all required health screenings and vaccines.
- Must have a clean Motor Vehicle Record.
- On-call availability is also required for this role.

- Supervisor MUST possess a clean driving record; this will be validated via MV search.
