Position Summary :
The Machinist-B is responsible for performing machine set-ups and operating designated equipment to meet production requirements. This role specifically supports our Tsugami Cell within the Value Stream.
Essential Functions :

- Set up equipment efficiently to prepare for production runs.
- Follow established processes and procedures for machine setup and operation, including tooling and fixtures.
- Load and feed materials into machines as required to produce finished products.
- Maintain a steady production flow to meet scheduled targets.
- Perform first-piece and in-process inspections to ensure part dimensions meet specifications, documenting results accordingly.
- Track part counts and accurately maintain records in the ERP system and other required documentation.
- Adhere to manufacturing guidelines, including production checklists, work orders, operator instructions, and setup notes.
- Recall CMM programs and correctly identify necessary fixturing.
- Operate CMM machines as needed for production.
- Save, interpret, and verify recorded data to ensure accuracy and integrity.
- Achieve an Independent or higher classification on all Class B competencies listed in the Machinist Competency Checklist HRF-02.29-Orig .
