Job Title: Senior Electrical Controls Engineer
Job Description:
- Engineering of industrial manufacturing equipment including electrical system design, PLC/HMI programming, project management, electrical department management and manufacturing support. Two direct reports and reports to the Engineering Manager.
Daily duties:
- Create electrical schematics and panel layouts using AutoCAD Electrical
- Assemble electrical system bill of materials
- Develop and implement control programs for industrial PLCs, HMIs, and VFDs
- Meet established deadlines through successful project management and scheduling
- Support customers with machine troubleshooting
- Manage electrical department of 7 electricians, fabricators, and panel builders
- Collaborate with mechanical engineering team on design of machine functions and operations
- Occasional travel (approx. 3 times per year)
- Support research and development projects
- Limited travel for installation and commissioning of new equipment at customer facilities
Requirements:
- Programming experience with Allen Bradley and Schneider Electric control systems and software
- 3 years experience designing electrical power and control systems
- Experience with AutoCad preferred
Compensation:
- Annual salary dependent on experience
