Key Responsibilities:
The Electrical Engineering Manager will be responsible for leading the planning, development, and implementation of strategies to optimize the performance of our electrical distribution network.
- Develop System Strategies: Create comprehensive plans for maintaining and improving our electrical infrastructure, ensuring reliability and efficiency.
- Collaborate with Engineering Team: Work closely with our engineers to evaluate and improve system performance, including load flow analysis, short circuit calculations, and protective relay coordination.
- Identify Opportunities for Growth: Analyze our network to identify opportunities for expansion and upgrade, working closely with stakeholders to implement plans for growth.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
- Significant experience in electrical utility operations.
- Strong understanding of mathematical principles, including trigonometry, calculus, algebra, and analytic geometry.
- Familiarity with Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories equipment or similar (desired).
- Valid New Mexico driver's license and commitment to adhere to company policies regarding substance abuse.
- Knowledge of NERC and FERC regulations, with experience in SPP being a plus.
- Outstanding problem-solving, time management, and communication skills.
