What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Electrician position at Brightpath Associates LLC?
The Electrician, Maintenance performs a variety of electrical trade functions to ensure the optimal operation of electrical/mechanical equipment in a Data Center environment. This includes duties such as the maintenance, repair and/or testing of equipment for the generation, distribution, or utilization of electric energy. In addition, this technician is responsible for: maintaining or repairing a variety of electrical equipment such as generators, transformers, switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, motors, heating units, conduit systems, or other transmission equipment; working from blueprints, drawings, layouts, or other specifications, locating and diagnosing trouble in the electrical system or equipment, working standard computations relating to load requirements of wiring or electrical equipment, and using a variety of electrician's hand tools and measuring and testing instruments. All duties must be performed within the specified safety regulations of the company and the position. May perform other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
This position requires the individual to work both inside and outside, sometimes in inclement weather conditions. Ability to lift 50lbs and in some instances more; capable of performing both pushing and pulling motions and other repetitive motions. Requires lifting, prolonged, sitting, standing, bending, kneeling and ability to work in cramped/confined spaces. In addition, the use of ladders may be required, which includes the ability to use/carry ladders, lift and climb ladders of up to 30ft. in length.
Required Job Qualifications:
- HS Diploma or Equivalent
- Security Clearance (or ability to obtain upon hire)
- Minimum of 3-4 years' experience in electrical facilities maintenance in a commercial/industrial/data center environment
- Journeyman level certification or certification of trade school completions/diploma
Desired Job Qualifications: Associates or Bachelor's degree, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or other related field of study; Three to five years in electrical maintenance and repair in an industrial setting is preferred; Master Electrician License is a plus, as well as HVAC and building maintenance experience.
Necessary Licenses or Certifications: Valid Electrician License (Journeyman); Applicable Vocational School Diploma or Certification of Completion
Work Schedule:
- Full-Time (40 hours per week)
- Various shifts, which may include Saturdays and Sundays
Salary : $65,000 - $75,000
