Job Description
The Senior Mechanical Engineer is an individual looking to take on the challenges of performing a variety of Mechanical Engineering duties related to industrial facilities for projects large and small.
This position involves experience in one or more of the following service areas: Chemical, Polymer, Refining, Utility. Experience in consulting engineering is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
The Senior Mechanical Engineer has a variety of responsibilities including:
- Engineering/specification of mechanical equipment, including material handling equipment, pumps, pressure vessels, tanks, heat exchangers, and other process equipment
- Pipe stress analysis/pipe support design
- Lead Engineer for projects
- Interfaces with other engineering disciplines and clients
- Performs field work as needed
Qualifications:
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering degree
- A minimum of fifteen years experience
- Experience in some or all of the areas of engineering mentioned above
- Professional Engineering license a plus
- Eligibility Requirements:
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction
- Authorizes a background investigation, including verification of past employment, criminal history, and educational background
- Submits to a drug test post-offer
- Possesses a valid driver’s license
- Accepts that this position may require some domestic overnight travel
