Test Engineer
Our growing, state-of-the-art facility in Deland, FL has an exciting, newly created opportunity for a Test Engineer to join our Engineering team. The Test Engineer develops and implements technical solutions that are innovative, thorough, and practical to a range of technical problems in a cross-functional teach environment. We are looking for a multi-discipline, multi-talented Test Engineer who can develop and run tests for electronic hardware assembles and PCB’s.

What you’ll do:
• Design and optimize test and assembly processes for quality, capacity, cost, and safety
• Understand customer product specifications & system requirements and create related test requirements
• Perform system verification and validation testing, data analysis and reporting, discrepancy reporting and corrective actions to ensure production readiness
• Support manufacturing floor daily operations and drive continuous improvement of key production cells
• Optimize the production process, product design using a robust lean problem-solving methodology, with quantifiable impact to business metrics
• Troubleshoot process/production problems and implement solutions, monitor sustainability of actions and report out results
• Interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and test procedures to troubleshoot and repair equipment
• Collaborate effectively in a multi-disciplinary team environment to develop component designs and repairs to meet 4Fronts and customer requirements for cost, performance, and quality
• Actively support production personnel in the set-up and debugging process for new applications
• Experience with electrical test equipment required (oscilloscopes, signal generators, data acquisition, ammeters, and voltmeters) is required
• Program microcontroller-based control boards and perform step-by-step testing to validate and analyze code and product performance
• Perform various documentation tasks including generating test reports and updating schematics and BOM’s
Minimum Requirements:
• Associates Degree or equivalent in Engineering Technology, Electronics or other electronics related discipline or the equivalent combination of work experience (such as military training/trade school)
• 7 years of experience in an EMS/OEM manufacturing environment
• Able to program custom test code, example Python programming language
• Subject Matter Expert in circuit analysis
• Subject Matter Expert in various test instrumentation including NI LabVIEW
• Exceptional hands-on involving using Spectrum Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, Logic State Analyzers
• Exceptional electronic troubleshooting skills
• Performing the tests according to strict criteria and controls and documenting the results
• Designing scripts, test plans, and scenarios as well as tests for our customers
• Writing up all the details of testing procedures for training, quality control technicians, test technicians to take over routine testing for post-manufacturing and quality assurance purposes
• Familiar with J-Stds and ISO-9001
• Electrical and automation programming aptitude
• Strong analytical, problem solving, and innovative solution capabilities
• Proven technical leadership in designing and implementing manufacturing processes that meet cost, productivity, run rate, and quality expectations
