Position Summary:
As a Senior Die Designer, you will enjoy the die design process and focus on designing various types of metal stamping dies, including coining, fineblank, and progressive dies. You will provide manufacturability feedback to cross-functional teams and support and mentor other team members.
Essential Functions:
- Design metal stamping dies using Solidworks CAD software.
- Generate strip layouts and die design planning.
- Provide technical input on manufacturability and manufacturing process requirements.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with cross-functional areas.
- Analyze statistical data to optimize die designs.
Education and Experience:
- Tool & Die Apprenticeship/Journeyman status preferred.
- 5-10 years of Die Design experience.
- Proficiency in GD&T, blueprint reading, and CAD (Solidworks preferred).
