Brightpoint Community College invites applications for the position of Alumni and Constituent Relations Coordinator. The successful candidate will play a vital role in fostering and strengthening relationships with alumni and other individuals that lead to philanthropic and strategic support for the Foundation and the College. This position requires strong interpersonal and communication skills, a passion for the community college mission, and a proactive and highly collaborative approach to connecting alumni and other individuals with meaningful engagement opportunities that advance the missions of the Foundation and the College.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate and establish good lines of communication and cooperation with faculty and staff to identify opportunities where the participation of and engagement with alumni and others can have a positive impact on programs, projects, and priorities. For example: advisory boards, career connections, guest speakers, etc.
- Conduct outreach personally to alumni and other individuals to assess their interest in participating in or supporting identified programs, projects, or priorities. Act as a liaison between alumni, the Foundation, and faculty/staff, ensuring effective coordination, communication, and follow-up on invitations to engage, participate, or volunteer.
- Identify alumni who might be interested in being featured in Foundation and College communications, highlighting their career achievements, community service, or human interest stories that help tell the story of Brightpoint Community College. This responsibility will be carried out in close collaboration with Public Relations and Creative Services.
- Contribute to program evaluation and improvement through the documentation of outreach activities and outcomes in Raiser's Edge (CRM).
- Coordinate the creation and execution of an ongoing communication plan for defined audiences, utilizing both print and digital media. This includes, but is not limited to, annual fund solicitations, newsletters, targeted updates, social media posts (in collaboration with Creative Services), and other promotional opportunities.
- Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Exceptional time management skills, the ability to pivot as priorities shift, and the willingness to work in a highly collaborative environment and on cross-functional teams and projects.
- Microsoft Office and experience with a customer relations management (CRM) system.
- Experience working with donors or in a customer-focused environment or membership organization.
- An Associate's degree or higher is preferred.
- Graphic design desired but not necessary.
