Job Description:
Brightpoint Community College invites applications for the position of Foundation and Corporate Relations Coordinator. The successful candidate will play a vital role in fostering and strengthening relationships with foundations and corporations that lead to philanthropic and strategic support for the Brightpoint Community College Foundation and the College. This position will work closely with the Executive Director of the Foundation and will provide direct support for the college-wide grants strategy and management plan. This position requires strong interpersonal and communication skills, a passion for the community college mission, and a proactive and highly collaborative approach for grants management and corporate relations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implements strategies and tactics to secure external funding for college priorities with a focus on foundation grants and corporate gifts.
- Collaborates with faculty and staff throughout the entire life cycle of grants that run through the Brightpoint Community College Foundation, including but not limited to: drafting grant proposals and submissions (including budgets), submitting and tracking approved grants, convening meetings as needed, assisting with ongoing communications with funders, ensuring that all grant obligations are on track to be fulfilled, and that all reporting obligations are met.
- Initiates and completes invoicing and other budget-related procedures in full compliance with accounting and other compliance measures.
- Contributes to the development and implementation of a college-wide, comprehensive corporate relations program, in support of the college's strategic priority for developing and expanding industry partnerships.
- Utilizes Raiser's Edge (CRM) to manage and document activities around grants submissions, awards, and reporting as well as corporate relations activities.
- Supports the Foundation team on cross-functional projects and priorities.
- Experience with writing grant proposals and managing grants.
- Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Exceptional time management skills, the ability to pivot as priorities shift, and the willingness to work in a highly collaborative environment and on cross-functional teams and projects.
- Microsoft Office and experience with a customer relations management (CRM) system.
