What are the responsibilities and job description for the Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) - Telehealth position at Brightside Health?
Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) | Flexible Telehealth
Brightside (www.brightside.com) is a tech-enabled healthcare company. We provide quality mental health care, backed by science, and delivered with humanity. Using an evidenced-based Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) approach, our members complete live video sessions with their counselor as well as self-guided video lessons and practice exercises outside of session.
Our counselors are trained to deliver personalized, culturally responsive, and compassionate care to all of their members. This treatment program allows our counselors to apply their advanced clinical skills where they have the biggest impact - providing thoughtful support, a space to process, and solution-focused care in partnership with their clients.
Brightside therapists also have the option to receive free training in the Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicide (CAMS) to treat patients with elevated risk for suicide as part of our Suicide Prevention Program. Suicide Prevention is a first-of-its-kind virtual mental health care program that provides timely, intermediate care for individuals who are actively suicidal and/or have had a recent suicide attempt. Therapists will also have the opportunity to work with our Teen Therapy program and our MH and SUD Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOPs) launching in the coming months. We firmly believe in providing a continuum of care to those who need it most, encompassing our general mental health population, substance use disorder population, individuals facing an elevated risk of suicide, and adolescents.
