Cashier

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while accurately processing transactions. This role requires a keen attention to detail and the ability to handle cash and operate a point-of-sale (POS) system effectively. As a Cashier, you will play a vital role in creating a positive shopping experience for our customers.

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases.
• Accurately process cash, credit, and debit transactions using the cash register or POS system.
• Handle cash with precision, ensuring accurate cash handling practices.
• Maintain knowledge of current promotions, products, and services to effectively sell and upsell items.
• Assist in stocking shelves and maintaining the organization of the checkout area.
• Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly while maintaining phone etiquette.
• Perform basic math calculations to ensure accurate transaction totals.

Skills

• Proficient in cash handling and operating cash registers or POS systems.
• Strong basic math skills for accurate transaction processing.
• Excellent phone etiquette for customer interactions.
• Kitchen Experience a plus but not required.
• Strong organizational skills to manage stock and maintain cleanliness at the checkout area.
