We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to efficiently move products and materials throughout the warehouse. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations, safety protocols, and the ability to work collaboratively with team members.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to transport materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper handling of goods.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using RF scanners and warehouse management systems.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure safe operation.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and improve efficiency.
- Adhere to OSHA regulations and company safety policies at all times.
- Assist in building pallets for shipping and receiving as needed.
- Support other materials handling tasks as directed by management.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating forklifts; certification preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to warehouse equipment operation.
- Familiarity with RF scanners and warehouse management systems is a plus.
- Experience with cranes is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team setting.
- Prior experience in materials handling or as a warehouse operator is preferred.
