A forward-thinking fuel cell company looking for a Senior Product Engineer to help drive the design and development of both new and existing products.
Responsibilities: Senior Product Engineer
- Lead the design and development of mechanical components and assemblies for Solid Oxide Fuel Cell systems, ensuring a focus on performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
- Work closely with R&D, electrical, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to ensure smooth integration of product designs into high-volume production lines.
- Design for Manufacturability (DFM): Apply DFM principles to optimize designs for cost-effective, scalable manufacturing while maintaining the highest quality standards.
- Conduct detailed engineering analysis and simulations (e.g., FEA/CFD) to validate mechanical designs, ensuring they meet technical, safety, and regulatory standards.
- Create detailed CAD models and technical drawings to guide the manufacturing process and generate comprehensive documentation for future product improvements.
- Contribute to the continuous enhancement of products by incorporating feedback from testing, field performance, and customer requirements.
Experience Required: Senior Product Engineer
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in product design and development, ideally in fuel cell systems, energy systems, or other high-tech industries.
- Strong proficiency in DFM and a deep understanding of manufacturing processes, including CNC machining, injection moulding, and sheet metal fabrication.
- Advanced skills in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and experience with FEA/CFD analysis tools.
- Proven ability to solve complex technical challenges, think creatively, and deliver innovative solutions in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
