Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Front Office Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years' experience in front and back medical office work and possess excellent organizational and customer service skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome patients and visitors, and answer or refer inquiries
- Receive referrals and understand insurance benefits available
- Verify insurances and obtain authorization from insurance companies
- Schedule patient appointments
- Register patients, check them in and out
- Collect copays at the time of each appointment and follow procedures for co-payment deposits
- Perform credit card transactions
- Maintain patient account balances
- Work with electronic medical records
- File, fax, and scan documents
- Manage and order office supplies
- Complete billing and payroll data entry
- Schedule breaks and lunches with Aides to ensure front office coverage
- Maintain and develop referral source relationships
- Support marketing and brand awareness as needed
- Complete clinic opening and closing duties as required
Requirements
- Minimum of Associate's Degree with business emphasis or significant directly related medical office experience
- Minimum of two years front and back medical office work experience
- Presents professional attitude, appearance, strong customer service skills, and use of judgment
- Knows advanced computer software (Microsoft Office) and has data entry skills
- Excellent organizational, customer service, and oral/written communication skills
