**Clinical Physician Lead Role**
In this full-time position, you will work under the supervision of the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) to fulfill clinical and administrative responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality complex and geriatric care to residents and patients across various settings in partnership with non-physician practitioners and other interprofessional team members.
- Maintain high engagement with facility leadership teams, nurse practitioners/physician assistants, patients, and families.
- Collaborate with physician assistants and nurse practitioners, on average 5 but up to 15, to support them in their clinical roles.
- Audit up to 10% of practitioner medical orders and/or documentation for each provider monthly, based on state and regional regulatory frameworks.
- Assume medical directorships for skilled and/or other senior living facilities if needed.
- Identify new growth opportunities with skilled facilities and/or other senior living facilities in the market/region.
- Participate in company frontline/backup call processes for timely response to acute changes of condition to prevent avoidable hospital transfers or meet other clinical needs.
- Focus on quality outcomes, including care path compliance, productivity, prevention of avoidable transfers, decrease in polypharmacy, and costs of care.
Qualifications:
- Graduate from an accredited school of medicine and hold a Doctor of Medicine degree.
- Two or more years of administrative leadership experience in healthcare.
- Clinical medical experience of seven years or more preferred.
- Board certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Geriatrics; qualification in Geriatrics preferred.
- Practicing physician currently licensed under the provisions of the State Board of Medicine.
- Active unrestricted licensure to practice in the state of employment.
- Current Drug Enforcement Administration registration.
