Role Description
This is a part-time on-site role for an Infusion Nurse, located in Tewksbury, MA. The Infusion Nurse will be responsible for administering medications and treatments via infusion to patients, primarily in a home or clinical setting. Daily tasks include preparing and overseeing infusion therapies, monitoring patient conditions, responding to adverse reactions, and ensuring patient comfort and safety. The Infusion Nurse will also collaborate with healthcare teams to plan and manage patient care, provide education on infusion procedures and medications, and maintain accurate records.
Responsibilities:
- Obtain IV access and administer specialty infusions as prescribed.
- Access PICC lines and ports.
- Update and maintain patient records in an EMR.
- Liaise between patients, physicians, and pharmacies as needed.
- Remain compliant and follow strict guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
- Active RN license.
- At least 2 years of experience in Nursing is required.
- Excellent IV skills are required.
