BrightStar Care of Naples and Ft Myers is looking for a Director of Business Development to lead our sales team as we continue to grow and serve Collier and Lee County.
Responsibilities: this position requires both time in the office and time out in the community .
In office / administrative time includes:
- Leads sales and marketing team teams weekly.
- Identifies and develops new business opportunities.
- Evaluates existing partnerships and sales efforts with an eye toward building on what works and changing what doesn’t.
- Develop marketing plan for new or existing territory
- Ensures sales department is meeting or exceeding established sales target and goals
- Tracks emerging markets and trends.
- Fosters and works to maintain an entrepreneurial growth culture throughout the company and across all teams and work functions.
- Identifies and recommends new services.
- Proposes and develops strategic partnerships.
- Helps to shape the company’s long-term objectives and determine plans for how to meet them.
- Identifies sponsorship opportunities and community marketing events
- Helps direct development of customer-facing web platforms and digital experiences. (social media content)
- Weekly, Monthly and Quarterly Reporting.
- Attends annual BrightStar Conference.
- Supports, guides and works with sales team to ensure their success.
Community work:
- Call on referral sources in order to generate sales for both private duty homecare and medical staffing.
- Join and attend area networking and chamber groups.
- Seek, develop and participate in marketing opportunities in the community.
- Establish working rapport with health care and VIP professionals in the community.
- Manages key client relationships and works to build new ones.
- Community speaking, educational and presentation events.
- Builds and maintains relationships with VIP accounts, community partners and organizations.
- Monthly ride a long day with each sales representative.
Business Development Director Qualifications/Skills:

Education, Experience, & Licensing Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or related field
- 5-10 years’ sales or marketing experience
- 3-5 years’ supervisory or management experience
- Home Care experience preferred.
