*Job Overview*
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregiver to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance within their own homes. This role is crucial in enhancing the quality of life for clients, particularly seniors and those with special needs, including individuals with dementia or autism. The ideal candidate will have experience in senior care or assisted living environments and possess a genuine desire to help others.
*Duties*
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and meal preparation.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the client's well-being.
- Administer medication as prescribed and monitor health conditions, reporting any changes to family members or healthcare professionals.
- Assist with mobility, including lifting and transferring clients safely as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing personal spaces.
- Support clients with recreational activities and social engagement to promote mental stimulation.
- Document care provided and communicate effectively with family members regarding client progress and needs.
*Requirements*
- Previous experience in home health care, assisted living, nursing homes, or group home settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of dementia care practices and experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusting relationships with clients and their families.
- Ability to lift and assist clients physically while ensuring their safety at all times.
- Compassionate nature with a strong commitment to providing high-quality care.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours as needed.
