Position Overview:
Are you a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) looking to provide specialized care for a child in need? BrightStar Care is seeking a dedicated pediatric nurse to care for a 6-year-old child in NE Portland requiring tracheostomy care, ventilator dependency and maintenance, and G-tube care and maintenance. This is a Monday – Friday night shift position with 8- or 12-hour shifts available.

Position Details:
- Patient: 6-year-old child with a trach, ventilator, and G-tube needs
- Location: NE Portland, OR
- Shifts Available: 8- or 12-hour night shifts (Monday – Friday)
- Setting: Private home environment
Qualifications:
- Active RN License – Must hold a current and unrestricted Oregon RN license.
- Experience – At least one year of professional nursing experience, preferably in pediatric or critical care.
- Tracheostomy & Ventilator Care – Must be skilled in tracheostomy maintenance, ventilator care, and G-tube management.
- Certification – Current CPR/BLS certification required.
- Background Check – Must pass a criminal background check.
- Work Authorization – Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive patient care to pediatric patients, including assessment and monitoring of vital signs.
- Administer medications and injections as prescribed, ensuring adherence to HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams in Level I and Level II Trauma Centers to deliver emergency and critical care.
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) and document patient progress.
- Educate patients and families on health management and post-acute care.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance nursing skills and knowledge.

Pay: $50.00 per hour
