- Medication Administration : Perform med passes for assigned patients, ensuring proper documentation and timely administration of prescribed medications.
- Patient Monitoring : Monitor for adverse reactions or side effects following medication administration and report any changes in patient conditions to the healthcare team.
- Patient Education : Educate patients and families regarding prescribed medications, potential side effects, and any necessary follow-up care.
- Collaboration : Work closely with physicians, other nurses, and the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient care.
- Documentation : Accurately document medications given and any relevant observations in the patient’s medical record.
- Safety and Compliance : Follow all protocols and safety standards regarding medication administration, including double-checking patient identifiers, medication doses, and medication times. Requirements :
- Current unrestricted Nurse license in the state of NJ
- Understands regulatory compliance with state and federal regulations
- Adhere to HIPAA and maintain client confidentiality
