Position Overview: Brightstar Care is seeking compassionate and responsible State Tested Nursing Assistants (STNAs) to join our Hospice care team in Delaware, Franklin, and Licking counties. Hospice care is centered on enhancing the quality of life for individuals experiencing advanced, life-limiting illnesses, and we're looking for individuals who are committed to providing comfort and dignity to patients during this sensitive time.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide patient care according to the approved Plan of Care.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene.
- Supervise patients when taking medication as directed.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients.
- Provide respite care services to help families cope with the physical and emotional needs of caregiving.
- Keep patient rooms clean and sterile, assist with transfers from bed to wheelchair, and support other physical needs.
- Regularly consult with the supervising nurse to update the hospice team on the patient's condition.
- Monitor and report any changes in the patient's comfort or condition, ensuring the nurse is informed for proper medication adjustments.
- Maintain accurate documentation and record-keeping in compliance with all healthcare regulations.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to deliver high-quality care to our patients.
Qualifications:
- A valid STNA (State Tested Nursing Assistant) license.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug test.
- Willingness to cover the needed coverage area in Delaware, Franklin, and Licking counties.
- Must be able to train on EMR (Electronic Medical Record) documentation.
- Previous experience in Hospice care is preferred but not required.
- Willingness to work 8- or 12-hour shifts.
