Job Summary
We are seeking a CTSS Mental Health Practitioner to join our dynamic team. This role involves actively engaging clients in their mental health recovery process and providing skills training to support their individual treatment goals. The ideal candidate is passionate about working with children and families, has strong interpersonal skills, and is committed to person-centered care.
Responsibilities
- Utilize and model person-centered principles to engage clients in their mental health recovery journey.
- Develop and maintain therapeutic relationships to support clients in meeting their individual treatment goals.
- Collaborate with therapists and school staff to implement activities aligned with the client’s individual treatment plan.
- Facilitate and conduct individual and group CTSS skills services tailored to the needs of each client.
- Actively participate in team meetings, case consultations, and agency trainings, contributing expertise and insights to enhance service quality.
Required Qualifications
To qualify as a Mental Health Practitioner, candidates must meet at least one of the following criteria:
Education & Experience Pathway:
- Completion of 30 semester hours (or 45 quarter hours) in behavioral sciences or related fields AND
- At least 2,000 hours of experience providing services to individuals with:
- A mental illness or substance use disorder, OR
- A traumatic brain injury or developmental disability
- Must complete additional training per section 245I.05, subdivision 3, paragraph (c) before providing direct client services.
Work Experience Pathway:
- At least 4,000 hours of experience delivering services to individuals with:
- A mental illness or substance use disorder, OR
- A traumatic brain injury or developmental disability
- If under 4,000 hours, must receive weekly treatment supervision until reaching the required experience.
Graduate Degree Pathway:
- A Master’s or other graduate degree in behavioral sciences or a related field.
Additional Qualifications:
- Fluency in a non-English language is a plus, especially if serving a culturally diverse population.
- Experience working in day treatment programs under section 256B.0671, subdivision 3, or 256B.0943 is highly valued.
- Completion of a practicum or internship with direct client interaction in behavioral sciences or related fields.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.16 - $25.43 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 45 per week
